More About me...
I grew up in Colombia, where I completed my BA in Media Studies with an emphasis on Marketing & Advertising. I started working in the marketing industry while still at university in 2003. My dissertation received a distinction, and I graduated with honours, achieving a score of 4/5, which is equivalent to a first-class degree in the UK. After finishing my studies in 2005, I came to London to improve my English. Initially, I didn’t plan to stay, but I met my now-husband three months after arriving, and here we are—two kids, two dogs, and a lifetime together later...

My values...
There have been many moments in my life that have made me pause, re-think my values, and shaped who I am today. One of those moments was when I started my business, which led me to discover parts of myself I didn’t know existed. The main one was my self-discipline. I’ve been impressed by my own dedication and motivation to keep things moving. This self-discipline has also helped with my running and other areas of my life, such as building a successful career in marketing and advertising in a foreign country where I didn’t know anyone. I only fully recognised this after starting my own business.
I’ve also come to understand the kind of work and environment that truly motivates me. Unfortunately, in my previous marketing job, after six years of hard work, I experienced burnout. I began to question my purpose and realised that my time in advertising agencies was coming to an end as I had lost touch with my purpose and values. I needed time to reflect and decide on my next steps. I discovered that I want to work on meaningful projects. By this, I don’t necessarily mean charity work, but rather making a difference in people’s lives. For example, Apple excels at helping people stay fit, work, enjoy music, and keep up with the latest news – they help make life easier for their users while generating profit. They create real solutions to real problems, which is why I decided to turn into product management.
It’s really important to me that I work for a company that aligns with my values. I would love to work for an organisation that truly cares about people—putting people before policy. An organisation that offers support. Creativity and making mistakes should be part of the process, as we evolve and grow through these experiences. I want to be part of a company whose products make a genuine difference in people’s lives, and where users are always prioritised.
The organisation and its leaders should value flexibility—no clock-watching, just pure trust that people will get their work done. They should understand that life happens and flexibility is essential. That’s why I’m looking for flexible roles.
I believe in DE&I (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) and I never realised how much mothers suffer from discrimination, which is one of the drivers of the gender gap. For me, it’s crucial that DE&I isn’t just a tick-box exercise where I work. I want to see women, mothers, foreigners, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people of colour in senior roles. OUTSIDE WORK
There are so many things I do and enjoy that it’s hard to find time for everything! One thing that has followed me throughout my life is my LOVE for dogs! I truly believe dogs are the most amazing creatures, and we humans are very lucky to have them as our loyal companions. I currently have two furry babies, Molly (10) and Rosie (1), and I love taking them for walks and looking after them.
Additionally, I have two beautiful human babies, Rita (8) and Giuseppe (4) – they drive me crazy, but I can’t imagine life without them! I love them to bits, and they are the force that keeps me going.
I also have another big passion: running. I try to run at least three times per week, and I enjoy signing up for charity-sponsored running events so I can contribute to great causes.
Finally, as you might already sense if you’ve read my CV or looked into my business venture with Glowing Constellation, I enjoy baking and decorating cakes. My favourite part is being creative, as I believe creativity takes your mind to amazing places and gives you a sense of pride and achievement!
